SPRING TURKEY HUNTING – 2010

Adobe Lodge spring turkey hunting is outstanding.  Hunting from three different camps, our properties are lightly hunted and well-managed.   This kind of quality hunting might cost a little more, but if you like to hear lots of gobbling and work birds, this is your kind of hunt.  All our turkeys are the Rio Grande species. 

Full-Service Hunts, Lodge – Three Days –   Two Birds     $1250

• Lodging – comfortable but not fancy.  Sheets on the bed, carpet on the floor.  Hot water in the shower.  Lots of towels. 
• Food – good food and plenty of it, including between-meal snacks to take hunting.  You won’t get hungry unless you are on a diet.  If you don’t gain weight, we don’t pay the cook.
• Transportation  - from the San Angelo, TX airport to the camp and return to the airport in plenty of time for your flight.  No need to rent a car.  Driving in?  We’ll send you a good map.
• Guiding.  We take you out to the roost areas before daylight and you will move on and with the birds.  We do not call the birds for you.  That’s your job.  But we get you oriented on where to hunt, and we have some tips on how to hunt Rios.  Once you are comfortable with the route to your hunting area, you may use one of our vehicles to come and go as you wish.  For an extra fee, we can provide a guide to do the calling.
• Bird Cleaning – you may process your own birds, or we’ll do it for you.  We have a great facility with plenty of water and light plus freezer storage and zip-lock bags for the meat.  We can also help arrange taxidermy if you want to mount your bird.
• Lots of Land to Hunt – We hunt many thousands of acres which have an incredible population of birds.  Each new hunt moves to a rested ranch.

Booking a hunt is easy.  Contact us by phone or by e-mail.  When you pick your date, we’ll send our Booking Agreement and deposit information - one-half down with the balance due upon arrival.  A non-resident license is expected to be $120, and we’ll be happy to obtain it for you before your arrival.  All hunt dates begin at noon and end at noon on the third day.
